HOUSEN-GAMA began as producer of ceramic tableware for restaurants and izakayas in Toki, Gifu, in 1947.
Our headquarters are located in Toki in the southeastern part of Gifu Prefecture, surrounded by nature, where there are plenty of sources of high quality pottery clay.
Based in the birthplace of Mino pottery, an art form with a 1,300 year history, we are a pottery specializing in the sale of commercial Japanese tableware since our establishment.

Over the course of our history, we have produced over 330 unique products, mainly Japanese tableware.
In 2001, when our current company president took over, we began focusing on product development, in order to distinguish ourselves from our competitors.
We arrived at a product development strategy that capitalizes on the strengths of the materials.
Then, we put to use the wealth of experience and expertise we had acquired while working on our many products, investing three years into developing our own unique HOUSEN-GAMA clay.
This original blend is a mix of high quality clay from the Tono region and natural minerals.
We wanted to share the appeal of original pottery made with this unique clay with our customers directly, and are now working on commercialization.

We also want ordinary customers to experience the allure of this clay for themselves, which is why we are now offering products not just for businesses, but for home use as well.

In recent years, the popularity of Japanese cuisine has led to increased demand for Japanese tableware outside Japan, and we are currently developing products for the overseas market.
In the future, we hope to create tableware that will not only be used within Japan, but all over the world.
